Biofield Science & Energy Healing

The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.

DEFINITION OF BIOFIELD:

“Here, we define the term ‘biofield’ as an organizing principle for the dynamic information flow that regulates biological function and homeostasis. Biofield interactions can organize spatiotemporal biological processes across hierarchical subtle and gross levels: from the subatomic, atomic, molecular, cellular and organismic, to the interpersonal and cosmic levels. As such, biofield interactions can influence and be influenced by a variety of biological pathways, including biochemical, cellular and neurological processes related to electromagnetism, correlated quantum information flow and perhaps other means for modulating activity and information flow across multiple levels of biology.”

At present, most humans can only see 1/100th of the visible spectrums of light.  Light is a carrier wave, which means light can carry information.  A biophoton is a particle of light.  Light can be both a particle and a wave. Our human biofields interact with other biofields like waves intersecting each other.

Rupert Sheldrake, Ph.D. a biologist and author who studies morphic fields and their resonance, calls these morphogenetic fields.  The essence of Sheldrake’s hypothesis proposes that these fields, “…which are already accepted quite widely within biology, have a kind of inbuilt memory derived from previous forms of a similar kind. The liver field is shaped by the forms of previous livers and the oak tree field by the forms and organization of previous oak trees. Through the fields, by a process called morphic resonance, the influence of like upon like, there is a connection among similar fields.” (Sheldrake, 1987)

Among many other connections, I believe these fields relate to Carl Jung’s Collective Unconscious and Collective Conscious. This collective consciousness may likely be primordial as well as archetypal.

Primordial meaning existing from the beginning of time, ancient, prehistoric and ancestral.  Archetypal relating to characteristic patterns of our human evolution. (i.e., Man as a symbolic archetype has evolved from the Cave-Man archetype).

Because most people cannot see biofields, they have been typically dismissed in our current culture and medical paradigms.  However, the ancients have been drawing them since there have been ways to document.  I believe and find substantial evidence of these fields in my healing work and daily practice.

Further, I find evidence that these biofields contain relevant information.  I listen to this information, use it to ask questions and offer feedback to involve the healee. I believe and know that healing is done by greater powers than myself, and I believe we all can be a conduit for healing.  My desire is to be that conduit assisting the bodymind to remember how to heal itself, and this involves the fields around the body, the Biofield.

Dr. Fritz Popp, a German researcher in biophysics, specifically focused in biophotonics explains.  “We are still on the threshold of fully understanding the complex relationship between light and life, but we can now say emphatically, that the function of our entire metabolism is dependent on light.”  Fritz-Albert Popp is the inventor of biophoton theory and has coined the term biophotons which refers to coherent photons emitted from biological organisms. Biophoton theory concerns DNA as the most probable source of biophoton emission.

I have personally conducted research using photomultipliers, which when combined with particular software counts the photons coming off of the body part being measured.  The theory states that when we are more stressed, we leak light, meaning the number of biophotons increase.  When we are in a more relaxed state, our bodies keep its light and is more coherent.  Biophotonics is a branch of quantum biology dealing with interactions between single photons and biological matter to understand the inner workings of cells and tissues in living organisms. It is probably the best solution for understanding cell function by integrating molecular activities within the living cells.  These theoretical understandings of Sheldrake’s Morphogenetic fields and Popp’s Biophotons can give us a framework to conduct more scientific experiments.  There is much more work to be done on a scientific basis. However, the activity of the healing work I do, and the use of the Bio-Well device gives me a personal, up close and personal relationship with what I perceive as a real phenomenon, that science just does not know how to measure in totality yet.
