Is the Bio-Well HIPPA compliant?

Bio-Well is not a medical device and therefore not required to be HIPAA compliant as we are not capturing ""health"" information and scans are not considered electronic medical records.

That said, we always encourage clients to use alphanumeric coding for scan cards, rather than names, to ensure all scan histories remain entirely anonymous while being stored on the Bio-Well servers and when using the Send feature with other Bio-Well clients. Scan card fields include only name, gender, birth date and an optional notes field. No other subject information is requested or necessary unless the client chooses to type something into the note field.

It is up to the client to appropriately prepare and store reports when using that feature.

Further, Bio-Well does not store any account payment information on our servers, with all activity occurring securely through PayPal and Stripe. Any demographic information added to the account, besides username, name and email address, is entirely up to the client to include at their discretion.
