Rev. Tiffany Barsotti, M.Th., C.Ht., CCT., is a spiritual, medical counselor and researcher at HEAL and THRIVE in Encinitas, California. A focus of her clinical work is subtle energy, biofield therapies and energy psychology. With her spiritual and intuitive guidance, she serves as an integrative practitioner working alongside medical doctors, naturopaths, osteopaths, chiropractors, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other allied health professionals. Tiffany received her Masters of Theology in Energy Medicine with special emphasis in Medical and Spiritual Counseling from Holos University Graduate Seminary, and was personally mentored by the school’s founders, Drs. C. Norman Shealy and Caroline Myss, as well as many other modern mystics.
Tiffany’s research has included her novel thesis, ‘A Proposed Spiritual Axis of the Bodymind How the Reticular Activating System (RAS), Vagus Nerve and the Alta Major Chakra Axis May Be the Nexus of Bodymind/Spirit Consciousness’, which earned her honors and recognition amongst peers and scholars with an interest in seeing the reunion of science and spirit. Her thesis proposed the ‘Reticular Activating System-Vagus Nerve-Alta Major Chakra Axis’ as the nexus of communication from Higher Consciousness to the physical and subtle energy bodies of the human being.
To advance her clinical and research activities, Tiffany utilizes biofield devices to measure the human biofield and subtle energy interactions related to mind-body mechanisms.
I believe the mind is a field around our physical bodies, AND in every one of our cells. The Biofield and each cell have the capacity to hold memories and most memories record unconsciously. On a physical level, each time we deal with stress or trauma, it triggers cellular memories, which can equal a hypnotic state to the brain. Ultimately triggering the pattern, of flight, fight, freeze or fornicate. These unconscious or hypnotic recordings become coping patterns. If you are reacting rather than responding, you may find that your coping strategies are outmoded. Emotional Memory Therapy® gets to the source of the subconscious negative coping and survival patterns and together with your willingness to thrive, healing takes place profoundly and swiftly.
Healing emotional issues as well as physical ones happen in layers. As the layers peel away the healing process can be thorough, holistic (mind-body-spirit) and long lasting.
I believe we need to work all aspects of the conscious and sub/unconscious of our minds. We are accessing all three parts of ourselves every moment of the day. Having tools to assist the cognitive mind deal with what the subconscious and unconscious are processing is essential for a thriving, aware and evolving life.
Our mental subconscious processes over 11 million bits per second, where our cognitive brain processes about 166 bits per sec (Norretranders, 1999). Our subconscious is grasping information in the environment, the conversation inside ourselves, outside ourselves, the past, the future, and more, simultaneously. Every second, things are being registered and recorded that we are not aware of at the subconscious level.
Given that we are managing that much information, it is not reasonable to think we are going to manage it all. So what to do? Become aware of our environment, and begin to choose consciously where and what we are giving our attention to and inputting into our Biofield and cells. I see the mind as more of a field than a locale in the brain.
After being trained in many modalities, I am now more keen on the importance of working all three aspects of the mind at once. We need to give the brain and mind (two different entities in my opinion), the tools each needs to be relevant and related. If we do only cognitive or subconscious work, we are leaving out a big part of who we are. We are more than just our cognitive-mind, and we are more than our subconscious and unconscious minds.
I further believe we have unlimited access into the heart of the Divine Mother and Universal Consciousness. Our only limitations are our beliefs. Our beliefs, many of them, come from our upbringings, and the information we have gathered through our many filters as adults. Sometimes it is necessary to hit the reset button, and this is where I come in to assist. It is my desire to give the tools and build skills to get to the source and root of what keeps us separated from our natural healing.
